Not by might nor by power but by my spirit. Zechariah 4:6

Sunday morning Aug. 20, 2017

Sometimes, I try too hard all by myself and then get disappointed if I don’t get good results.  Like the letter I wrote to White Nationalists.  I struggled through it with my poor English.  It sounds preachy and contrived.  I’m still working on it 🙁

Let’s remember that I don’t have to try so hard.  I should pray and then let Holy Spirit do his work through me.  Everything will be done by the Sprit of God.  Not by my own effort or strength.  I need to just show up with willing heart.

It’s Sunday morning Aug. 20, 2017.  I’m in the art studio I share with other artists.  I forgot to bring my diary.  So I picked up the steno pad I’ve been keeping in my corner.

When I opened it, I saw that only the first page had something written on it.  The date written at the top of the page was Aug. 20, 2016, exactly 1 year ago!

And, underneath the date, I wrote about Joshua 21-22.  The Lord gave them rest.  Joshua blessed them etc.

And my today’s Scripture reading was also about Joshua the high priest!  In Zechariah 3, Joshua was wearing filthy clothes.  The angel removes them and clothe him with clean dress and a new turban – symbol of righteousness.

Today, I brought newly washed shirt and pants to the studio to replace the dirty work clothes I’ve been wearing for many months.  And, yesterday, I received a delivery of new socks I ordered online.

Wow I don’t think these are mere coincidence!

The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”

Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the LORD stood by.

The angel of the LORD gave this charge to Joshua:  “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.
