This is all material repeated from Leviticus.  The repetition underlines how important faithfulness to God’s design for worship will be to the community of Israel.

Chapter 28

“Ye shall do no servile work.”  God repeats this commandment 3 times in this chapter.

In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein: Num 28:18

And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work. 26 Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the Lord, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: Num 28:25-26

I think there are two types of work.  The creative work we enjoy doing as the ones created according to His image and the second type of work is a servile work that we are forced to do in oppressive conditions for survival.

I believe God wants His people to do only the former.
