Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die Do you believe this? John 11:25, 26
Jesus was in Galilee when he receives the word that a beloved follower named Lazarus is desperately ill. He waits two days and then heads for Bethany, in Judea.
Jesus arrives and comforts the two sisters (Mary and Martha). When Jesus orders the stone blocking the tomb of Lazarus moved, Martha objects. After four days, “there will be a bad odor.” But they obey. Jesus calls, and the dead man comes out, alive again.
Jesus’ resurrection power is not limited to the last day. God can act in human lives now and even beat the grip of death and advanced decay.
