Dream: Simple Faith and a Cross

In my dream last night, I donated a book called “Simple Faith” to the library.  It’s a simple brown softcover book.  Then I went back to the library to borrow it.  The library was equipped with a modern contraption from which materials requested shoot out, just like a vending machine.  I was not used to using the machine and struggled for a while trying to retrieve the book.  I donated it right after purchasing it without reading it first because I thought it was a good idea to share it with others by circulating it through the library system.  I was concerned that perhaps the book was lost.

Then, I discovered it sitting on top of the machine.   The hard case the book was in was gone, and the book looked vulnerable by itself.  I was a little disappointed that the book had not been touched by anybody as I found the thin pages of the book were still stuck together.  I looked at its brown cover engraved with the title “Simple Faith” and wondered what the book is about.  When I was about to open the book, I woke up.

Yesterday, I hung a cross replacing it with my painting of a lazy cat.  The first time a cross gets hang in our house since we moved in 3 years ago.  Is my dream related to the cross or the act of hanging it?
