Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:7-9

Today’s verses are easy to understand but putting it into practice is another.  Pleasing my flesh — craving for tasty food for  example.  It’s also hard to fight the desire to impress other people — Look at me.  Admire me and my work (art exhibit).  I want to be adored.

It’s hard to fight desires like these.  At least from reading the Scripture, I know what to do and what not to do.  Actually practicing it takes having God himself in me.  Sowing and harvesting are work of a farmer.  It takes patience to watch things grow and involves other people who are the object of harvest, not just me.  Pleasing God means to join his team of workers and work under his instructions and guidance.
