I am the resurrection and the life;

 he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?  John 11:17-26

Jesus’ resurrection power is not limited to the last day.  God can act in human lives now and even break the grip of death and advanced decay.

Death – elephant in the room that dooms us.

Here I am, alive with dreams and desires.  but then there’s death – very bad news.  We have a finite time period to live and then die –  dissipate into nothingness.

Lararus, 4 days after his death, when Martha, his own sister didn’t want to remove the stone of his grave because “there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days,” Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”

He who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped aroud with a cloth.  Jesus said to them, “Unbind him and let him go.”

death to life, decay to purity.  God so consistently speaks what his coming is about.

I want to understand and don’t forget… even now, i can live as a free person.

I rest in the knowledge of him.  why he came.  what’s ahead of me.  what’s possible now.

The knowledge shines my path.

“Are there not twelve in the day?  If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.”
